12th Annual conference of Nephrology Association of Kerala is by Calicut Nephrology Club on 18th and 19th September 2010 at Wayanad.

NAK is a very unique platform where Nephrologists of the entire state of Kerala meets once in a year to share their clinical experiences and developments in the field of Nephrology.

We have participated in this conference very actively and had the premium stall to display our range of the products.

Conference was very well attended by almost more than 90% Nephrologists of the state Kerala and we got very good response for our newly launched product RENOPAIN.

13th Annual Conference of Peritoneal Dialysis Society of India is organized in Bangalore at St. John\’s Medical College under the leadership of Dr. Gokulnath, Head of Department – Nephrology at St. John\’s Hospital on 25th and 26th September 2010.

This was a very well attended conference and we have participated in the conference as one of the major sponsor. We had a premium stall to display our range of products.

We got extremely good response of newly launched product RENOPAIN.

21st Annual conference of Indian Society of Organ Transplantation was recently held at Hyderabad from 21st to 23rd October 2010.

We have participated in this conference as one of the principal sponsor. A big stall of La Renon was arranged to welcome the delegates and explain them about La Renon and its products. Over and above comprehensive range of Nephrology related products at present we have three key products for Organ Transplant – IMMUTIL (MMF 500 mg tab) , IMMUTIL -S (MPS 360 mg tab) and TACROREN (Tacrolimus 0.5 mg / 1.0 mg capsules).

This time ISOT 2010 was very well attended conference and almost close to 400 doctors from various fields of Organ Transplant attended this conference.

Overall we got a very good mileage from this one of the very important academic event.

41st Annual conference of Indian Society of Nephrology was organized from 2nd to 5th December at Rajiv Gandhi Convention Center , Hotel Leela Place , Trivandrum.

Nephrologist from India and abroad actively participated in this conference and this was one of the ever highest attended ISNCON.

We have participated in this conference as one of the principal sponsor and the banquet and the cultural program of 2nd Dec evening was sponsored by us.

We had one of the biggest stall to display our product range. One of the new products TAZOREN (Tacrolimus) is also launched by us during this conference. Our Nephrosciences team of South India has also attended this conference.

As a company we got extremely high level of visibility through this one of the important academic event in the field of Nephrology – “ISNCON-2010”

On 20th January 2011 TANKER Foundation celebrated its 18th annual program at Hotel Savera Chennai.

During this program the 3rd La Renon Tanker foundation award is given to Dr. Brian J.G. Pereira of Boston , USA.

Dr. Brian J.G. Pereira who is an internationally recognized expert on kidney disease and nephrology. He is currently a Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine and at the Sackler School of Biomedical Sciences of Tufts University.

Dr. Pereira is originally from Mangalore-Karnataka. He earned an MD from St. John\’s Medical College and an MBA from the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University. From 1993 to 2005, Pereira held various positions at Tufts-New England Medical Center, including serving as President and Chief Executive Officer from October 2001 to November 2005. He was the President of the National Kidney Foundation from 2002 to 2004 and has served on the editorial board of twelve scientific journals. Pereira is a Director of the National Kidney Foundation, Aksys, Kidney Care Partners, Wellbound and Satellite Health Care. In addition, Dr. Pereira is a member of the advisory boards of Amgen and Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals along with several other organizations. He was recently named President of AMAG Pharmaceuticals (formerly Advanced Magnetics)

Chief guest of program was Mr. G.K. Vasan – The Union Shipping Minister (son of congress leader Late Shree G.K. Moopnar).

The program was attended by almost close to 1000 people including Nephrologists of TN and other neighboring states.

All India KIRRUS field team is given two days training at HO on 2nd / 3rd February 2011. As many new team members have joined KIRRUS team and therefore a brief two days product training is organized for all of them at HO. Over and above product training team has attended a workshop on “Extra Mile Working” conducted by a very eminent external faculty.

31st Annual conference of Indian Society of Nephrology – Sothern Chapter is organized from 11th to 13th February 2011 in Thrissur – Kerala at Lulu International Convention Center.

Nephrologist , other clinicians and Dialysis & Transplant technicians from entire South India have participated in this one the very important academic program.
We have participated and supported in this event as a principal sponsor. We had one of the biggest stall to display our product range and to interact with the delegates. Our stall was one most visible as well as attended stall.

Our overall participation in the event was very much appreciated by the delegates.

4th annual congress of the International Society of Hemodialysis is organized in Delhi from 3rd to 5th March 2011. Almost close to 600 delegates from all across the word have participated in this one of the important academic event. La Renon has very actively participated in this conference as one of the main sponsor of this event. We had a big exhibition stall o display our product range. Our stall was one of the most vibrant stall. During the conference we have organized Renopain symposium for dialysis technicians and they were explained an effective method of pain management during accessing the fistula of the patients on Hemodialysis. Overall we got extremely good response and visibility.

World Kidney Day is being observed across the world on second Thursday of March every year. This year it is observed on 10th March in the entire world. The Kidney diseases are increasing in its prevalence all over the world. Lack of awareness and knowledge about kidney diseases is contributing significantly to morbidity and mortality for the patients. The aim of the World Kidney Day is to increase the awareness about kidney diseases in the society and plan a collective strategy to combat this international epidemic called CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease). This involves not only the nephrologists and their patients but also the media, general public, NGOs and the Government and corporate.

This year on the day of WKD we have a very extensive country level campaign. Our entire field team have visited almost more than Six Thousand dialysis patients and explained them and their attendants comprehensive basics knowledge kidneys and kidney diseases. Patients were also explained about importance of Nutrition and how progression of kidney disease can be prolonged. We have distributed free of cost a 200 gm Tin of Lamino – Dialysis which is specially designed dietary supplement for the patients who are on Hemodialysis. We have also explained to the patients who are receiving Hemodialysis about the effective method of pain management through RENOPAIN (a specially formulated local anesthetic cream for Hemodialysis patients) during the dialysis procedure while accessing their fistula. We have distributed free of cost a 30 gm tube of Renopain to all these patients.

This complete campaign is very well appreciated by all the Nephrologist , Dialysis technicians , patients and their attendants.
